What Happened The striker was dropped from a European match after making accusations and claiming his relationship with manager had soured. “He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘Should anyone feel slighted, I'm sorry.’” The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player. Team Unity Jones insisted that the team's response remained positive. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained. He also noted that a competitor wanting to play is less of an issue. “I get that there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “Yet, should someone be happy to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.” On-Field Response The team's performance have remained strong in the matches since the situation.
