Star Refutes Anti-Vaccine Stance After Narrating Contentious Coronavirus Feature

The acclaimed actor has provided his voice to a recent film that questions the safety of immunizations and praises ex- cabinet secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Documentary's Disputed Origins

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is adapted from a popular book written by Judy Mikovits, who rose to infamy during the global outbreak for assertions that the illness was linked to a problematic version of the flu vaccine.

The book's writing partner, a producer, has also written books with far-right figure a known commentator. The producer took to social media celebrating Neeson's participation in the project.

A Strong Rebuttal

Representatives for the actor have provided a response strongly denying suggestions that he supports anti-immunization beliefs.

"Everyone can understand that corruption can exist within the medical sector, but that must not be equated to rejection of vaccines," the statement explains. "Liam has never been, and cannot be described as, anti-vax. His long work with the global charity underscores his long-held support for public-health initiatives."

The response continued that the performer was not involved in crafting the film's narrative and that concerns about its content should be directed to the filmmakers.

Key Themes In the Film

As presented, the narration spoken by Neeson includes several provocative claims:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have called for "blind obedience" to government bodies.
  • It declares that "research has become dangerously influenced by politics."
  • RFK Jr is interviewed stating, "The major issue with vaccines is that they just aren't adequately tested."
  • It takes aim at pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused mental anguish that cost thousands of lives.
  • Regarding pandemic shots, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Background and Current Issues

It also references a historical film about AIDS medication trials on children, which was afterwards the topic of a BBC apology by the broadcaster for violations of guidelines.

Recently, the political figure called on the national health agency to revise its long-held position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This claim is echoed in the film, contrary to a new report from the global health body reiterating no connection has been found.

An Earlier Position of Endorsement

Differing from the film's tone, Neeson has in the past expressed strong support for vaccines in his role as a Unicef global ambassador.

Two years ago, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary human success story," stating that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest human endeavors in our history."

The documentary finishes with Neeson's script proclaiming, "This marks not the conclusion of our narrative. Rather, it is the dawn of a fresh chapter."
