Iran is willing to resume nuclear discussions with Washington on condition that it is approached with "dignity" and "respect", Iran's top diplomat has stated.

The Iranian diplomat stated exclusively dialogue worked, and shared recent overtures had originated from intermediaries to restart talks with the US government. He claimed Iran did not have secret atomic facilities, and Iran could not yet authorize the UN nuclear inspectorate to inspect struck enrichment centers for protective measures.

Navigating a Complex Route

The foreign minister is navigating a complex path since Iran wishes not to be seen to be acting from a stance of vulnerability, and he consistently maintained that Iran had emerged stronger militarily and psychologically from the Israeli-US attack on its atomic facilities in June.

He was speaking at a strategic meeting in Tehran where he reaffirmed that Iran had "an inalienable right to enrich uranium on home soil that it will never give up" – the main reason of the impasse in the previous talks.

Prior Discussions Abruptly Concluded

The earlier sessions of discussions between the United States and Iran were ended suddenly and bitter termination on 12 June when Israel, with US support, struck Tehran's atomic facilities in a 12-day war that ended with the US president declaring the locations had been eliminated. Subsequently, European countries used their privilege to reimpose global restrictions, but Iran asserts they have not had a major impact.

Ideal Resolution Proposed

Iranian officials said they felt they had achieved a "magic solution" to the enrichment issue in prior discussions, when it was agreed an domestic cooperative with Washington's engagement could enrich uranium. Each party would have been able to claim victory since domestic enrichment would have persisted and the US could be confident that Iran's enrichment initiative was entirely non-military.

It had not been agreed in the discussions that Washington's technical specialists could function within Iranian territory, but that was a logical implication of the consortium proposal. Officials stated three times they had reached agreement with Trump's special envoy the US official only for the arrangement to disintegrate due to "detractors in America".

Existing Position

He asserted the strikes began with a American requirement for an unconditional Iranian surrender and ended with an complete request for a ceasefire.

Araghchi stated: "Tehran was not the one that had deserted dialogue; it was the United States and the western countries that had repeatedly tried to dictate their demands during the talks. Dialogue can still be alive and continues the primary resolution to address disputes, but its criteria, regulations and tenets must be respected."

"In case they talk to the nation of Iran with the approach of respect and honor, they will get a response in the equivalent tone."

Restoration and Recovery

In what is characterized by Tehran representatives as the conflict of recovery and reconstruction, the foreign minister said he was certain Iran's military capacities "are considerably enhanced than before 13 or 14 June of this year. Every aspect of our defense have been restored. We gained many lessons from this conflict; we have identified our own weaknesses and the weaknesses of the enemy."

He continued: "We effectively endured this conflict. Our enrichment knowledge, which they aimed to eliminate, stays intact. The facilities and machinery, if eliminated, will be reconstructed; what is essential is the resolve of the nation of Iran and then the social solidarity that they sought to undermine, but did not succeed to shatter. The citizens of Tehran have become more resilient, more integrated, and more backing of the leadership and the country in the face of this assault."
