A Marquee Acquisition for the WSL Side The forward, with six months left on her deal, has been a prolific goalscorer for both club and country. Having netted over 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for her country. Her arrival will be seen as a major coup for the WSL team. Departure from Bayern was expected since she was seen fighting back tears while thanking the club's supporters after a victory over Bayer Leverkusen recently. It was reported in December that the Frauen-Bundesliga was set to lose one of its top forwards. Per reports, the formalities for the move are now finalised. Consistent Goalscoring to Strengthen United's Attack The 28-year-old’s arrival is expected to provide a significant uplift to the team's forward line. Schüller has been highly reliable in front of goal in Germany’s top flight. Over seven straight seasons, including the last term, she achieved at least a double-figures tally of league goals. She won the Golden Boot in 2021-22 season with 16 goals. Building Momentum at Carrington The acquisition of the German international comes at a time when the club appear to be building positive momentum. Their recent on-pitch successes feature qualifying for the Champions League knockout phase playoffs as a seeded team and a win in the League Cup quarter-finals.
